Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Exact Statement collects and how that data is handled when you upload statement files, preview extracted rows, export files, or contact support.
What We Collect
- Account data: email address and basic profile data used for sign-in
- Uploaded documents: bank-statement or credit-card PDF files submitted for processing
- Structured output: extracted rows, review warnings, export preferences, and job status
- Billing records: plan, credit usage, payment references, and refund events when billing is enabled
- Support messages: emails or Telegram messages sent to us
- Operational telemetry: server logs and error reference codes used to diagnose failures
How We Use Data
- Process uploaded files into CSV or XLSX exports
- Show previews, warning summaries, and export history
- Manage accounts, credits, billing, and refunds
- Send operational emails such as verification or statement-status notifications
- Investigate failures and improve conversion reliability
We do not use uploaded statements as marketing content or public examples without separate permission.
Storage, Processing, And Retention
File uploads
Statement files are validated locally in the browser, split into chunks when needed, and uploaded with presigned requests to secure object storage.
Processing
Statement files are processed automatically by a third-party extraction provider and then returned to the dashboard as structured rows, warning summaries, and export options.
Retention
- You can delete an upload manually from the dashboard.
- Finished statement jobs are scheduled for cleanup after about 24 hours.
- Cleanup deletes uploaded files and extracted statement records.
- Only minimal job-level metadata may remain archived for audit and billing.

Review And Access
Exact Statement does not run routine manual review of uploaded statements. Limited authorized access may occur only when required for support, security, billing, or legal obligations.
Security Controls
We use transport encryption for file upload and application traffic. We also sanitize user-facing error messages so support can work from reference codes without exposing provider internals in the UI.
No internet service can honestly promise zero risk. If you need the shortest possible retention window for a specific file, delete it from the dashboard as soon as you finish exporting.
Your Choices
- Delete uploads from the dashboard
- Request account deletion or data access by emailing support@exactstatement.com
- Control optional browser- or device-level cookie settings where available
Children
Exact Statement is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date.
