Convert PDF Bank Statements to Excel (XLSX)
PDF bank statements weren't designed as data files. Our converter extracts transaction tables from any bank's PDF — handling page breaks, merged cells, and formatting quirks — and outputs a structured Excel spreadsheet with full transaction details.
Files are validated locally, split into chunks, then uploaded directly to secure storage.
XLSX output includes Balance, Currency & Account ID · Handles multi-page PDFs
From Locked-Down PDF to Structured Excel
PDF tables look right on screen but are nightmare data sources. Our extraction engine solves the hard problems so your Excel output is clean and complete.
PDF table extraction
Detects transaction tables inside PDF bank statements — even without visible gridlines — and maps each cell to the correct column in your Excel file.
Page-break cleanup
Strips repeated headers and page footers from multi-page PDFs. Rejoins transactions that are split across page boundaries into single rows.
Rich XLSX columns
Excel output includes Date, Amount, Payee, Description, Reference, Transaction Type, Balance, Currency, and Account ID — more detail than any CSV format offers.
Amount & date normalization
Parenthesized negatives, dash-as-zero, mixed date formats — all cleaned and standardized automatically in the Excel output.
Batch PDF processing
Upload and convert multiple PDF bank statements to Excel at once — up to 100 MB and 1,000 pages per file.
Secure data handling
TLS in transit. Delete files anytime or let finished jobs clear during scheduled cleanup after about 24 hours. See Privacy Policy and Security for details.
PDF Bank Statement to Excel — Frequently Asked Questions
PDF is a page-layout format — it stores text at absolute x/y coordinates with no concept of rows, columns, or tables. What looks like a clean table on screen is actually a collection of independent text fragments. Our converter reconstructs the table structure by analyzing position, spacing, and alignment to map each value to the correct cell.
The XLSX file includes Date, Amount, Payee, Description, Reference, Transaction Type, Balance, Currency, and Account ID. This is significantly more detail than CSV formats for QuickBooks or Xero, making Excel ideal for analysis, reconciliation, and multi-account reporting.
Multi-page bank statement PDFs often repeat headers on every page, insert page footers, and sometimes split a single transaction across a page boundary. Our engine strips duplicate headers, removes footers, and rejoins split rows to produce one continuous, clean Excel file.
If the scanned PDF has a text layer (from OCR), our converter can extract the transaction data. For image-only PDFs without any selectable text, you would need to apply OCR first before uploading.
Our converter works with PDF bank statements from any bank worldwide. The extraction engine adapts to different PDF layouts — tables with gridlines, borderless columns, and varying date and currency formats are all handled automatically.
You can convert one page for free without signing up. Registered users get 5 free pages per day. For larger volumes, paid plans with additional credits are available. 1 credit equals 1 PDF page processed.
