Convert Multi-Page Bank Statement PDFs to CSV — No More Repeated Headers
Multi-page bank statement PDFs are the hardest to convert. Column headers repeat on every page, page footers interrupt the transaction table, and rows sometimes split across page boundaries. Exact Statement handles all of this automatically — producing one continuous, clean CSV from any multi-page PDF.
Files are validated locally, split into chunks, then uploaded directly to secure storage.
Up to 1,000 pages per file · Automatic header deduplication · Page-break row rejoining
What Goes Wrong With Multi-Page PDF Statements
A 12-month bank statement can easily run 20–50 pages. Every page boundary introduces problems that generic converters don't solve.
Repeated column headers
Most banks reprint the header row (Date, Description, Amount, Balance) at the top of every page. Without deduplication, these appear as transaction rows in your CSV — throwing off your import and reconciliation totals.
Page footers and subtotals
Page footers like 'Page 2 of 15', running subtotals, and 'Continued on next page' lines sit inside the transaction table area. Our engine identifies and strips these non-transaction rows automatically.
Split transactions across pages
When a transaction row sits at the bottom of one page and wraps to the top of the next, generic converters treat it as two separate rows. We detect page-boundary splits and rejoin them into a single, complete transaction.
Inconsistent column widths
Some banks adjust column widths or alignment between pages depending on the content. Our positional analysis adapts to layout variations within the same document.
Multiple statement periods in one PDF
Some banks combine multiple months into a single PDF file, each with its own header block and summary section. We extract all transactions into one continuous CSV with correct chronological ordering.
Up to 1,000 pages per file
Upload PDFs up to 100 MB and 1,000 pages. Large files are automatically split into chunks for reliable processing — you get one merged CSV at the end.
Multi-Page Bank Statement PDF to CSV — Frequently Asked Questions
Our extraction engine identifies the header row pattern from the first page and automatically filters out duplicate header rows on subsequent pages. The output CSV contains only one header row followed by clean transaction data.
When a transaction row breaks at a page boundary — for example, the date and description on page 3 and the amount on page 4 — our engine detects the incomplete row and merges it with the continuation on the next page to produce one complete transaction row.
Each PDF can be up to 1,000 pages and 100 MB. For very large files, our engine automatically splits the document into chunks for processing, then merges the results into a single CSV output.
Credits are charged per page: a 50-page bank statement costs 50 credits. If any page fails to process, credits for that page are automatically refunded.
Yes. Paid users can upload multiple PDF files in a single batch. Each file is processed independently and produces its own CSV output. You can download each CSV separately or all at once.
Yes. Transactions appear in the CSV in the same order they appear in the PDF — typically chronological within each statement period. If the PDF contains multiple statement periods, all transactions are output in their original order.
